Small shops might close at 1 pm for a siesta and reopen at 4 pm. Restaurants meals are not very expensive, a lunch including beer or a carafe of wine costs 6-10 euro, a dinner costs 8-12 euro per person. The restaurants very often offer the menu of the day which includes three dishes and a drink for 9-12 euro. Of course, it all varies, as the meal prices in fancier restaurants start from 15 euro.
Fuel is cheaper in Fuenteventura than it is in Europe and costs a little over 1 euro a litre. The price of renting a car also isn’t steep (around 130 euro for 7 days).
